YLÓ – A transnational project promoting culture, dance, and education
We are Cecilia and Orphée, two artists brought together by the language of dance and a shared love for culture, tradition, and the soul of Benin.
YLÓ was born from our encounter a bridge between worlds, between past and present, tradition and contemporaneity. It is more than a project: it is an invitation to discover Benin, its beauty, its rhythms, and a community that welcomes you as family.

PROJECT
“Katiuska Lebental is mentoring Cecilia Slongo in Afro-Cuban folkloric dance. This mentorship will enhance Cecilia’s understanding of the specificity of the dances of the Orishas (divine spirits), leading to improved dance skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper comprehension of the evolution of Yoruba heritage in Cuba.
ACTA is a statewide and national leader dedicated to supporting cultural practitioners and their communities. ACTA aims to serve as a bridge between cultural communities, providing opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and connection to new resources.”
